These Community Content Rules ("Rules") apply to all user-generated content ("UGC") submitted through the Trucking Caddy application, including facility reviews and ratings, photographs, entrance pin submissions (geo-tagged access points), road and facility condition reports, and any other content contributed by users. These Rules are incorporated by reference into the Trucking Caddy Terms of Use.
Participation in the Trucking Caddy community is a privilege. We expect all contributors to act responsibly and in good faith. By submitting any content, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Rules.
1. General Standards
All community content must be:
Accurate and based on your own first-hand experience or observation.
Relevant to the specific facility, route, or location being described.
Respectful and professional in tone.
Original content that you have the right to submit.
Free of personal information about private individuals.
Content that does not meet these standards is subject to removal at any time, with or without notice, at our sole discretion.
2. Facility Reviews and Ratings
2.1 What Makes a Good Review
Helpful reviews describe your actual experience at a truck stop, rest area, weigh station, shipper, receiver, or other commercial vehicle facility. We encourage you to include:
Parking availability and conditions (e.g., number of spaces, surface type, overhead clearance).
Amenities available (e.g., showers, laundry, food, fuel, scales).
Safety observations (e.g., lighting, security, traffic patterns).
Accurate star rating that reflects the overall experience.
2.2 Prohibited Review Content
The following content is strictly prohibited in reviews:
False, fabricated, or deliberately misleading information.
Reviews of facilities you have not personally visited.
Content submitted by or on behalf of a business to promote or disparage a competitor.
Personal attacks or derogatory language targeting staff, other drivers, or any group.
Profanity, obscene language, or sexually explicit content.
Hate speech, discrimination, or content targeting individuals based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
Threats of violence or illegal activity.
Content that violates any applicable law, including defamation laws.
Spam, repetitive content, or content unrelated to the facility.
Personal information such as names, phone numbers, or addresses of private individuals.
3. Photos
3.1 Acceptable Photos
Photos should help other drivers assess a facility or route. Acceptable content includes:
Parking lots, docks, entrances, and exits.
Signage, clearance heights, and road hazards.
Facility amenities (exterior only unless permission is obtained).
Road and bridge conditions relevant to commercial vehicles.
3.2 Prohibited Photo Content
Photos that include identifiable individuals without their consent.
Photos of minors.
Sexually suggestive or explicit imagery.
Graphic violence, injury, or disturbing imagery.
Images that infringe third-party copyright or trademark rights (e.g., logos, branded materials photographed as the primary subject).
Screenshots or republished images from other apps, websites, or publications.
Doctored or misleading images that misrepresent actual conditions.
By uploading a photo, you confirm that you took the photo yourself or have the legal right to share it, and you grant us the license described in the Terms of Use.
4. Entrance Pins
Entrance pins are geo-tagged access points that help other drivers locate safe, truck-appropriate entrances and exits for commercial facilities. Accurate entrance pin data is critical to driver safety.
4.1 Submission Standards
Only submit entrance pins for locations you have personally verified with a commercial vehicle.
Place the pin as precisely as possible at the actual point of entry or exit.
Include relevant notes such as weight limits, height restrictions, surface conditions, or time-of-day access restrictions.
Mark entrances that are truck-accessible separately from those restricted to passenger vehicles.
4.2 Prohibited Entrance Pin Conduct
Do not submit pins for locations you have not personally visited or verified.
Do not move or delete existing pins without a factual basis for the edit.
Do not submit duplicate pins for the same access point.
Do not submit pins as a means of leaving reviews, comments, or promotional content.
Do not include personal information, profanity, or derogatory content in pin notes.
Entrance pin data is relied upon by other drivers for safety purposes. Deliberately submitting false or misleading pin data may constitute fraudulent conduct and may be reported to appropriate authorities.
5. Road and Facility Condition Reports
Condition reports allow drivers to share real-time or recent information about road hazards, construction, closures, facility operational changes, or other time-sensitive conditions.
5.1 Standards for Reports
Reports must reflect conditions you have personally observed.
Reports must be timely — indicate the approximate date and time of observation.
Reports should be specific and factual (e.g., "Bridge on County Road 14 has 13'6" clearance — low, verify before approach" is more useful than "watch out here").
If a condition changes, update or retract your report as soon as reasonably practicable.
5.2 Prohibited Report Content
False or fabricated hazard reports.
Retaliatory reports submitted to harm a specific business or individual.
Reports containing commercial advertising or promotional content.
Any content otherwise prohibited under Section 2.2 of these Rules.

7. Content Moderation and Enforcement
7.1 Our Rights
Trucking Caddy LLC reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review, edit, remove, or decline to publish any user-generated content for any reason, including but not limited to a violation of these Rules. We may take action immediately and without prior notice.
