1. Introduction
Trucking Caddy LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Trucking Caddy mobile application (the "App") and any related websites or services (collectively, the "Services"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, how we protect it, and the choices you have with respect to your personal information. By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
This policy applies to all users of Trucking Caddy, including truck drivers, fleet operators, and any other individuals who access or use the Services.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
Account registration information: name, email address, phone number, username, and password.
Profile information: truck type, preferred routes, home base location, and carrier information.
User-generated content: reviews, ratings, photos, entrance pins (geo-tagged access point data), reports of road or facility conditions, and comments submitted through the App.
Communications: messages you send to our support team and feedback you provide.
Payment information: if applicable, billing name, address, and payment card details (processed by a third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers).
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
Device information: device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (IDFA, GAID), and mobile network information.
Usage data: pages or screens viewed, features used, time and date of access, session duration, and crash reports.
Location data: with your permission, we collect precise GPS location data to provide route guidance, surface nearby points of interest, and enable you to add or verify entrance pins and facility reports. You may disable location access through your device settings, but doing so will limit core App functionality.
Log data: IP address, browser type (for web interfaces), referring URLs, and access timestamps.
Cookies and similar technologies: we use cookies, pixel tags, and local storage on web interfaces to maintain sessions and analyze usage. The App may use equivalent mobile SDKs.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
If you log in using a third-party service (e.g., Apple, Google), we receive your name and email address from that provider in accordance with their privacy policies.
We may receive updated address or demographic information from data enrichment partners to keep our records accurate.
Public mapping and road-condition data from licensed third-party providers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To create and manage your account and provide core App features.
To display, verify, and improve user-generated content such as entrance pins, facility reviews, and road reports.
To personalize your experience and provide route suggestions tailored to your vehicle profile.
To send transactional communications (e.g., account confirmation, password reset emails).
To send optional promotional communications about new features or offers, subject to your opt-in preferences.
To monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the Services.
To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
To comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
To respond to your support requests and resolve disputes.
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 With Other Users
Certain user-generated content you submit — including facility reviews, star ratings, photos, entrance pin locations, and road condition reports — is publicly visible to other users of the App. Your display name or username will be associated with that content. You should not include sensitive personal information in public submissions.
4.2 With Service Providers
We share personal information with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Services, including:
Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud).
Analytics providers (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel) — subject to their respective privacy policies.
Crash reporting services (e.g., Crashlytics/Sentry).
Payment processors (e.g., Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay).
Customer support platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Intercom).
These vendors are contractually obligated to use personal information only as directed by us and to maintain appropriate security measures.
4.3 Business Transfers
If Trucking Caddy LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you by email or prominent notice within the App if such a transfer materially changes how your information is used.
4.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with a legal obligation or valid legal process; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of the Company; (c) prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Services; or (d) protect the personal safety of users or the public.
4.5 With Your Consent
We may share your information for any other purpose with your prior consent.
5. Location Data
Precise location data is used to: (a) display truck-relevant facilities and points of interest near you; (b) allow you to add or edit entrance pins and facility reports with accurate geolocation; (c) provide turn-by-turn navigation features (where applicable); and (d) improve the accuracy of community-contributed data.
You may grant or revoke location access at any time through your device's operating system settings. Revoking location access will disable features that depend on it but will not otherwise affect your account.
We retain precise location data only for as long as necessary to deliver the services described above. Aggregated and anonymized location data may be retained for longer periods for analytics purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Services, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within thirty (30) days, except for information we are required to retain by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention. Community-contributed content (e.g., entrance pins, reviews) may be retained in de-identified form even after account deletion.

8. Children's Privacy
Trucking Caddy is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 where applicable under local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will promptly delete it. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures — including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews — to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. You acknowledge that you provide your personal information at your own risk.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
